Our Story

Emerald Aquaponics was built through the long-running collaboration of Kedar Friis-Lawrence and Charles Carr, combining practical experience in aquaponics, aquaculture, sustainable food production, and regenerative growing. Over nearly a decade, they have worked together to design and refine systems for research, education, and commercial food production.

Drawing on backgrounds in aquatic systems, urban growing, and hands-on project development, Emerald Aquaponics focuses on creating practical, efficient systems that support year-round production and long-term sustainability. The company’s work brings together technical design, cultivation knowledge, and real-world installation experience to deliver integrated growing environments suited to a wide range of applications.

At its core, Emerald Aquaponics is about building better ways to grow food—systems that are productive, resilient, and aligned with the future of sustainable agriculture.
